About Innovia Research Centre

Innovia Research Centre conducts rigorous, community-embedded research to drive innovation in development practice. We generate timely, high-quality evidence that supports effective decision-making in complex and often challenging programming environments.

Innovia Research Centre is a Kenyan not-for-profit research and development organisation dedicated to advancing inclusive and sustainable development through rigorous, community-embedded research. Building on the strong track record of Innovia Research Consulting, a for profit
entity providing applied development research across Africa, the Centre was formally registered to meet donor and partner requirements for implementing
community-based charitable projects. Focused on Kenya’s most marginalised communities, Innovia Research Centre operates in contexts where other not-for-profit actors often have limited presence, leveraging local staff, volunteers, and community institutions to deliver cost effective, trusted, and contextually grounded interventions.

To generate and apply rigorous, community embedded
research to design, test, and scale innovative  development solutions that improve livelihoods, strengthen systems, and enhance  wellbeing in Kenya’s most marginalised
communities.

Resilient, inclusive, and
thriving communities
where evidence-driven
solutions break cycles of
poverty, vulnerability, and
exclusion.
